Cruises are still the travel industry's best kept secret. Cruises are the perfect vacation for most families ... some just don't know it yet!
Where else can you unpack once and then travel from one exciting port after another, with scheduled activities each day, shows and entertainment each evening, and limitless food and drinks. Best of all, it is entirely up to you just how active (or not) you want to be.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE
A personal favorite! Not just for the little ones, as an entire deck is exclusively 'adults only'. The characters are available if you look for them, but can be just as easily dodged if that is your preference. DCL offers the best entertainment in the industry, energetic and engaging cruise staff, and consistently superior attention to every detail of your cruise experience. The kids clubs, teen lounge, spa and variety of onboard events are all excellent. Palo's restaurant (18 and over) should not be missed. A bit higher priced than some lines, but most guests find DCL to be well worth the extra cost.
CARNIVAL
These "Fun Ships" have been revitalized in recent years. The older ships have undergone extensive renovations. The newer ships have wonderful amenities, including water parks, super slides and miniature golf. Some ships now offer Spa Rooms, which are priced to include cruise-long spa treatments as well as upgraded toiletries in the cabin. All ships have enhanced kids clubs and teen areas, with well-trained counselors. Food quality is very good.
RIVER CRUISING
A wonderful option for those interested in really immersing themselves in local culture. You will not have broadway entertainment and non-stop scheduled activities throughout the cruise, but you will be treated to the local artists, dancers, and performers of the region who are often invited onboard to share their talents. Most lines off a truly all-inclusive vacation, including shore excursions and alcoholic drinks.

HOLLAND AMERICA
These somewhat smaller ships offer fabulous itineraries and often visit unique ports in the Caribbean and Mexico. Staff is consistently superior. Not for kids and teens that want to be constantly entertained. Great for adults, seniors and families wanting to spend time together exploring .
NCL AMERICA
This is the only cruise line that completes a 7day loop around Hawaii each week, visiting great ports each day and truly giving you a taste of all that Hawaii has to offer. The American staff does not reach the level of service you will find on other lines, but you will spend most of your time off the ship. As long as you do not expect top of the line service, you will have a vacation of a lifetime. I recommend this for the experience.
